Bio in Brief
Born 2 June 1963 · Descendant of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Muharrem Nureddin Cosan, born on 2 June 1963 (10 Muharram 1383 AH), is the son of the late Mahmud Esad Cosan and the grandson of Mehmed Zahid Kotku, may Allah have mercy upon them. A descendant of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his lineage traces back to the Caucasus and Bukhara, with ancestors who later settled in Çanakkale, Türkiye, upholding a distinguished legacy of Islamic scholarship and spirituality.
From an early age, he accompanied his grandfather, Mehmed Zahid Kotku, observing his teachings, private counsels and spiritual guidance. After completing his early education in Türkiye, he pursued higher studies in Saudi Arabia and the United States. Following his return, he engaged in business and later assumed the role of Managing Director at the Server Foundation at his father's request.
In accordance with his father's will, Nureddin Cosan assumed leadership of the group following his passing in 2001. He restructured foundations, established new institutions and launched initiatives globally dedicated to serving humanity — rooted in uniting hearts through love and mercy and conveying timeless Islamic values in ways relevant to the present time.
Nureddin Cosan is married and has two children.
Caller to the True Path
Nureddin Cosan's universal call to the True Path (Islam) invites every person to reflect on the purpose of life, to recognise Allah Almighty as the One and Only Creator, and to live in a way that seeks His pleasure — embracing faith, thought, conduct and service in a balanced and purposeful life rooted in Divine principles.
Islam — The Lifestyle
Islam is not confined to practices but encompasses every aspect of life. Like nourishment for the soul, it shapes how we live, think, work, eat and care for one another. Open, accessible and free for everyone, it exists independent of any worldly authority. It is not one lifestyle among many — Islam is life itself.
Quran — The Final Human User Manual
The Quran is the Creator's manual for life. He encourages everyone to read and understand it in their own language, to apply it daily and to let it guide every action, decision and interaction.
Muhammad — The Final Messenger
The first and foremost interpreter and teacher of the Quran is the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Truly following the Words of Allah is inseparable from the Prophetic Tradition (Sunnah), preserved through authentic narrations (Aḥādīth). Without both the Quran and the Sunnah, Islam cannot be fully practised.
